Definition and types

Biogas generator is a system that drives an internal combustion engine or gas turbine through biogas combustion, and then drives the generator to generate electricity. It is mainly divided into two types:
Single fuel unit: completely dependent on biogas operation;
Dual-fuel units: can be used in combination with other fuels such as biogas and diesel.

Working principle and system composition

Biogas needs to be treated by desulfurization first to reduce the corrosion of hydrogen sulfide on the equipment;
The ratio of air and biogas is adjusted by the gas mixer to ensure complete combustion;
The internal combustion engine ignition system is modified to adapt to the slow combustion speed of biogas and improve the efficiency.

Core components:

Power generation unit: including internal combustion engine, generator and speed control system (to ensure voltage stability during independent operation);
Heat recovery device: recover the waste heat of cooling water and exhaust gas, and use it for biogas pool heating or refrigeration, so as to realize combined heat and power supply.
