Working principle of diesel generators
The diesel engine converts the chemical energy of diesel into strong mechanical energy, drives the generator rotor to rotate at high speed, cuts the magnetic lines, and finally generates the electrical energy we need.
Is the fuel consumption high? What is the operating cost?
The fuel consumption (liters/hour) of a diesel generator is closely related to its load rate (actual power/rated power). It is usually most economical to operate at a load rate of 75%-80%. Suppliers generally provide reference values for fuel consumption at different load rates (for example: a rated power 200KW unit, fuel consumption is about 50 liters/hour at 80% load).
